CHAPTER SUMMARY:
In our Season One Finale— Just when Lucas thinks he’s escaped his past, his mother, Marybeth (Benita Nall) shows up in New York.
She demands that he return home to Wisconsin, insisting that he’ll never survive on his own, without their support. For the first time, Lucas stands his ground, refusing to let her control his life any longer. But the encounter leaves him shaken— until Carina shares something that changes everything: Carter Lancaster is still alive.
That night, Lucas finally meets the man behind the tapes.
Now an adult, Carter reveals that his recordings— and the people around him— saved his life. He encourages Lucas to stay, to fight for the life he’s building, and to embrace his future.
With renewed strength, Lucas chooses New York.
As Season One ends, he joins his friends on the roof for breakfast— no longer an outsider, but finally part of something bigger.
That’s when his younger sister, Sara (Kate Godfrey), shows up at Bourbon Street Boarding, revealing something he never could’ve expected— she’s pregnant.
